Holly Dejong / Sayonara! I'm doing an exhibit on early luggable computers, I intend on networking a few of the later luggables together. Currently, the computers I have to display are a Compaq Portable I, a Panasonic Sr. Partner, a Digilog DP-386 (Dolch dp-386 rebrand) which was converted to a 486, a Pentium 1 Promark CPEP (Dolch clone), and a Kaypro 1. I also have a Fujitsu stylistic 2300 tablet that will be running network games alongside the dolches. Requirements: One 6ft table and like 5-6 chairs if possible; i will supply one additional 6ft table 110v ac, not sure on how many amps, it's 5 luggables and a tablet.
I have itanium development gear, color dot matrix printers and some historical HP trinkets. Last time I brought a former Freenode server, but I likely will not bring that this time. One table, with power. Wired network access is likely unnecessary.
Hi all, I'm Shaun or Cursed Silicon I've got a bunch of projects in various states of "semi-working" that I'd be happy to exhibit depending on interest! - The Worlds Fastest Windows 98 PC should be fixed and operating this time thanks to a new motherboard. It comes loaded with games both period correct and "wait it runs THAT?" - I have an Apple Mac G5 Quad, Apple's very last PowerPC machine ever made that I have loaded up with various games. I'd be happy to take suggestions from users on more software to bring along with it! - I have a pair of Cobalt Networks "Qube" server appliances that require a re-capping, but may be working in time for demoing them - I have one of HP's MedidaSmart EX495's. Better known for running Microsoft's "Windows Home Server" and featuring in the childrens book "Why is there a Server in the House?" - A Nintendo Wii U acting as a retro Java Minecraft server (game versions 1.8 through 1.14) - A still shrinkwrapped copy of the "Lindows" Linux distribution sold in Walmart in the early 2000's I also have several hundred pounds of servers that can be brought on request - Sun Enterprise 420R - Several Sun Netra T1's and X1's - Apple XServe G4 and XServe G5 Dual - Cobalt RaQ 3's (similar to the Cobalt Qube) I only have access to a small car so the total amount of items I can bring is significantly more limited. Please let me know what you all would like to see at the event. The best place to contact me is on Mastodon, I'm available at https://social.restless.systems/@CursedSilicon
bnys I'd like to bring along an MNT Reform to demo, along with my collection of vintage Apple Newton PDAs and ephemera. I'll want one table, a chair, and outlet access (even just one) would be splendid.
SDF Public Access UNIX System PiDP-10 running ITS to demonstrate the hactrn.org system at SDF. Need one table, but could share with someone if necessary. 1A 120v power and 2 chairs.
Clay Erickson - SDF, SRCS I can volunteer to assist with setup, support and take-down and will be available from Friday through Sunday. Just as I did with the Fall Fair, I plan to bring various extra cables (perhaps an extra power strip) for anyone in need, my toolbox and (in the event of any minor injuries) a first aid kit. I can also bring a computer or two for exhibit at the SRCS table. Not sure exactly which yet, but I hope to discuss this with Gordon Steemson. Current items under consideration: - Sun Microsystems Sun Blade 100 - Kaypro 4 - Commodore 64 - Atari 800 or 600XL - Tandy Color Computer 2 or 3
Hi I'm David a Tandy CoCo enthusiast. I attended the Fest late last year and would like to attend again and help out again if help is neede. Thanks for hosting the ICF! Best Regards, David
Name: Josh Dersch Description: I'd like to exhibit an SGI IRIS 2400 workstation. Requirements: One table, ~10A of 110V power.
Hi, I'm Eric Neustadter - a local who loves preserving the computers and game consoles I've grown up with. Primarily I'll be showing selections from my Tandy/TRS-80 collection. Time and space permitting I'd love to demo some other systems as well. Two tables would be great - the big Tandys are *big* - but one is fine if there's not enough to go around. Two chairs, power (120V), and internet would complete the setup. If there aren't enough chairs, etc. let me know and I'll plan on bringing whatever is needed with me.
Hunter I'd like to exhibit a DEC Alphastation 500/400, equipped with a Powerstorm 4D50T (Intergraph Realizm Z13 rebadge) and Windows NT4. I'll have a couple pieces of OpenGL software to show off its performance, and some native x86 applications running through FX!32. I also have an Indigo2 I'd like to set up, complete with original monitor, mouse, and keyboard. It's running IRIX 5.3 and has a whole load of software installed from various CDs distributed by SGI.
Ian Finder I'd want to bring real hardware
Jason Howe Due to hardware issues, this exhibit has been changed. New exhibit: Mac vs. PC: 1984 Luggable Edition. Explore, compare and contrast the 128k Macintosh and the IBM Personal Portable Computer. Write a document, draw a picture, print them out, play games! A good time will be had by all. Sadly canceled Exhibit: In honor of the Macintosh's 40th Birthday, I'm thinking of an exhibit/demo showing how Early Macintosh Software Development was done. This involves an Apple Lisa running Lisa Workshop with the Lisa Macintosh Supplement in order to build binaries that run on a 128K Macintosh. This is how software development was done for the early mac until the Macintosh Plus.
Jason Perkins Dial 1 for IT As seen at at VCF East and VCF Midwest, the fabulous many answering machine extravaganza! Powered by a Comdial MP-5000 PBX and KeyVoice voicemail, leave messages on answering machines from 1962 to the present. Get a look into the programming which makes endless call trees possible. Leave a voicemail. Look for hidden features in the call tree. You can even send a Fax! Dial in from the outside at 206-844-3032 Pending network connectivity, dial in from C*Net on 1-337-1851 Two tables would be ideal. A standard wall outlet will provide enough power. I'd also like to sprinkle some phones around the exhibit room, and also outside.
Your name and organization/club (if relevant): J.P. NeXTstep on SPARC and IRIX on it's way out. I'm planning to bring something from the last of SGI's MIPS/IRIX products, maybe a Fuel, maybe an Onyx350. Hoping to be next to the table Kent requested for OpenStep/NeXTstep and split the table between IRIX and NeXTstep addition. 1 table, 2 chairs, access to ~8 Amps @ 120 Volts AC, 60-cycles.
Mike Debreceni, Ian Finder, J. P. McGlinn, Kent Sullivan We would like to display a few different machines running NeXT/OpenStep: * A NeXT pizza box (and/or cube) (Mike) * HP RISC (Kent) * Sun Sparc (J. P.) * x86 box (Mike) * Canon Object.Station (Ian) -- need to confirm with Ian Please let me (Kent) know if you have any questions! Thanks.
Your name and organization/club (if relevant) A description of your exhibit, demo and/or how I'd like to help. (Please provide table, chair and power requirements) Mark D. Overholser Hello, I signed up for this event, last year, but couldn't make it do to IRL Events.. I'm presenting a Display on Networking on Classic Computers.. I'm into multiple Classic Systems, Apple ][, Commodore C64 and The Tandy Color Computer.. I also have multiple Networking Options for each of these systems.. A Ethernet Connection and 15A-20A AC Power would be perfect...
Name: Michael Brutman Exhibit: mTCP Networking for early DOS PCs. I'll bring a PCjr along too to cover that need. ;-0 Requirements (please): Standard table (6 feet)^M Wired Ethernet^M One chair, two if possible
Switcheristic Telecommunications (switcheristic.tel) would like to present Banner Depot 2000 (banner-depot-2000.net), an online archive of late 90s-early 00s web banner ads scraped from historical URLs featured in old internet directory books published in the United States and China during that period. We will go through our process of conceptualizing the project, collecting URLs, scraping banner ads, and developing the website. We will also showcase how we are using the banner ads to write haiku (of questionable quality) and perform karaoke, and our collection of physical internet directory books in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian langauges.
Chilliwack Retro-Computing Club Represented by Rob Carnegie Exhibit will profile Examples of Vintage and Retro-Computing Projects that are typical of our monthly meetings Please provide 1 table, 2 chairs, 2 power outlets
The Seattle Retro-Computing Society would like a table and two chairs for a small display of the kind of heterogeneous vintage computing that happens at our meetings. Whichever of our plans we end up going with will require the full table's worth of space and at least three vintage desktop systems' worth of electric power (we regret that specific amperage figures are not yet possible).
KatieZone.biz I'll bring an iMac G3 running various games and abandonware gems from Macintosh Repository and Goodwill. I also volunteer for any set up / tear down assistance, nerd hype, etc. Requirements: Probably just a small table or half a table with a couple chairs . _ .__ . . _ . _ . . ____ . . . . . . . _ . ._ | |/ /__ _| |_(_)___|_ ./___ _ _ .___. | |__(_)___ | ' _` |. _| / -_)/ // _ \ ' \/ -_)_| '_ \ |_ / |_|\_\__,_|\__|_\___/___\___/_||_\___(_)_.__/_/__|
