[REDUCE.HLP 1 page] REDUCE, written in LISP, comes from University of Utah, and includes the following capabilities: 1) expansion and ordering of polynomials and rational functions, 2) symbolic differentiation, 3) substitutions and pattern matching in a wide variety of forms, 4) calculation of the greatest common divisor of two polynomials, 5) automatic and user controlled simplification of expressions, 6) calculations with symbolic matrices, 7) a complete language for symbolic calculations, in which the REDUCE program itself is written, 8) calculations of interest to high energy physicists including spin 1/2 and spin 1 algebra, 9) tensor operations.
