04 nov 06 Oppressing the Peripheral Opposition in barnacle: "Blog-Like Entity" and Symbol some ho-ho has been messing with my mailer form from an SDF browser: 2nd November 2006 15:26:22 barnacle.gomen.org/form.pl i didn't get anything in the mail, so i'm forced to wonder what's going on. well, i logged onto SDF and tried out my form from one of their browsers, and i got something in the mail. i don't know what the hell people are doing, but i'm concerned that i'm missing all of these thoughtful and provocative questions. questions asked from SDF are bound to be especially juicy, because they're untracable. oh well. i can only do what i am able to do. i should go blow the lawn. i blew the lawn. now, i'm going to go for a bike ride for two hours, then take a nap, then go to work. when i come back from work, i'm going to check my email, then go to bed. life is so stupid. so, as you can see, this leaves no time for blogging. i bid you adieu. well, first, i'll share with you that my car, my (thought to be) trusty ford escort requires $1200 worth of repairs. so, it might be time to buy a new 2007 hyundai accent. yup yup. i did some internet quote requests, and car dealerships have been raking at my flesh like vultures since friday. i suppose i may as well wait, since i do have use of another car. but i'd sort of like a 2007 accent. people just like to buy things. ultimately, life is a game, a charade and a farce. the challenge is to make sure it's not a miserable one, like the NES game "dark tower". i've gotten into NES emulation, and picked up an open source emulator. there's also this site, that i'm surprised hasn't been shut down, that provides everything you need to start your emulation orgy on atari, nintendo, activision, etc. the site is unusable and poorly designed, of course, but here's page where you can download NES roms. a big green button is there, in what is hopefully an obvious place, that says "get the emulators". i swear by the open source emulator (ha), which is FCE Ultra 0.81 for win32. you can download it right from that semi-legal ROM site. oh, here's what nintendo has to say about ROMs. it's a bit funny, in a pathetic sort of way. here is a list of my favorite games:
oh. for those of you who might not know what a ROM is: it's a software version of a video game cartridge, such as "super mario brothers". i have no idea how they're made -- i suppose with some weird hardware, that i'd like to get a look at. but nintendo (or atari, or colecovision, etc) doesn't make them -- in fact, they don't like that they're being made. ok, i have to go. blogging is brutally retarded, as are you, for reading it. it's time for a special school.
