Could you be the man that writes the next great American Novel?

i'm really terrible at writing fiction. in fairness, i've only tried it once: back in 10th grade, in a creative writing class, i wrote a story called "ted the goat" about a goat that goes to work at hardees, and then runs off when his manager makes a pass at him. maybe i could work this up into a moby dick type epic -- you know, include hundreds of pages on goat farming and such that no one will ever read, and that gets left out of abridged versions.

CHAPTER ONE

if the sasquatch had paused, during his bathing of his testicles in blue, viscous liquid, and thought: "where did i put my keys?", why would he have paused and thought this?

oh, christ...nevermind. i'm going to stick to journal writing (anyone catch the reference up there? i'm good at pretending to be well-read -- it's a talent).
