29 jan 07 Bam! http://www.somegames.net/index.html wow, thanks! the site belongs to jim burton, who developed bill the demon and stardust. both of those games are available there, along with a few other programs. i downloaded his screensaver, but it's pretty lame; in spite of myself, i quite like "3-d pipes", which is built into windows . a while back i downloaded and installed "flying toasters" as an homage to mac, but 3-d pipes is much better, i'm afraid. i can sit there and look at pipe-structures growing for as long as twenty seconds before getting bored and going downstairs to watch star trek. i downloaded burton's free software (including a new game, "witches", which i had never played), and added them to my collection. i now have eight (8) games:
maelstrom is probably the best, followed by stardust, although i find that i can spend the most time on hangaroo. usually one or two rounds of stratego are enough for me, but i thoroughly enjoy beating the semi-retarded computer opponent; it's important for people like me to set attainable goals. i zipped them all up for you (windows). you can download them at a frightening rate here for one week (till february 5th, 2007). when the week is up, download them at a piddling rate here. my fun-pack. enjoy! or whatever -- i'm not forcing you or anything. |
